Job Location: North-central British Columbia; population of the city is approximately 78,000.

Shift: 40 hours/week. Shift configuration can vary; days, afternoons, weekends.
Hourly rate: $50.10 (as per collective agreement).
This full-time, permanent career opportunity is for a Red Seal HD Mechanic with at least 1 year working experience in the industrial maintenance and repair of mobile equipment. If you are interested in being home every night, versus living in camp or travelling to job sites, this position might just be for you. The position is based in north-central B.C. and relocation is required.

- Are a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic with at least 1 year industrial working experience troubleshooting, analyzing, diagnosing, lubricating and performing maintenance on mobile equipment.
- Are experienced in diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair.
- Are experienced in the rebuild of engines and major driveline components and experienced reading manuals and schematics.
- Are a team player and driven to never give up until you find a solution to every problem….This role might be for you!
As the ideal candidate you will be part of the maintenance team and are a skilled individual who is passionate about your career choice. Your skills and knowledge include, but are not limited to mobile equipment brakes, cooling, drives, electrical, exhaust and emissions, heating and air conditioning, hydraulics, steering and suspension in heavy industry and/or construction. You are someone who takes pride in your work, keeping accurate records and maintaining a clean work area.
You:
- Are legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada (e.g. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status).
- Have your Interprovincial Red Seal HD Mechanic certification (Must provide a copy).
- Have skills in welding and/or certificate in Mig, Tig, Stick, Stainless Steel, Aluminum (all considered value add).
- Are a team player with good communication skills and a ‘Can Do’ attitude and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Are experienced with technology and comfortable entering repair information in a fleet maintenance program.
- Are able to move heavy objects up to 50 lbs, as required.
- Are proficient in the English language (oral and written).
